Cotton muslin painted with Black Gesso covered with crumpled clingfilm, allowed to dry (takes weeks!). Painted with another layer of Black Gesso, and when dry, rubbed with iridescent Markals to create an antique finish. The applied motif was created in a similar way except the base fabric was silk and the clingfilm was removed. | ||
NEWS Hello & welcome to our NEWS page. We are really sorry that this page has been out of date for so long, this is just a quick update.. ARIO WORKSHOP PROGRAM for 2010 - 2011 is now available on-line. We will be starting on 9th September with Christine Thomas a local artist/maker and her textile jewelry; Isobel Hall, the international tutor and author is also giving an inspiring workshop turning light molding paste in a fabric!!!!!! and this will take place on Thursday 30th September and Friday 1st October. If you enjoy printing come along on Tuesday 26th October and 2nd November to learn some printing techniques using unusual fabrics and products.
